Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Baby Activity Tracker ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience when using our App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide to Us
When you use the App, you may provide certain information to us, including:
- Account Information: If you choose to use the Family Sync feature, we collect your email address and basic profile information (such as your name) to create and authenticate your account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In.
- Baby Profile Data: You may enter information about your baby, such as name, date of birth, gender, and profile photo.
- Activity Data: We collect the data you log in the app, including feeding times (nursing, bottle), sleep schedules, nappy changes, pumping sessions, tummy time, bath times, and growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference).
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data (such as app interactions, screen views, and standard device identifiers). This helps us understand how the App is used and improve its features.
- Authentication & Service Data: If you opt into the Family Sync feature, the underlying authentication services (Firebase Auth, Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In) may collect basic technical data (such as IP addresses and standard device headers) necessary to secure your account and manage sign-in sessions.
- Advertising Data: The App shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob collects your device's advertising ID, IP address (and the approximate location it indicates), device and app information, and how you interact with ads. See Section 4.
- Purchase Information: If you buy Premium, Google Play handles the payment. We receive confirmation of the purchase (such as the product and its status) so the App can unlock and restore Premium. We never see your card or other payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for various purposes, including:
- To provide, maintain, and improve our App and its features.
- To enable the "Family Sync" feature, allowing you to share activity logs in real-time with family members you authorize.
- To securely store your data. We use local storage (Hive) for offline access and, if you opt into Family Sync, cloud storage (Firebase Firestore) to sync across devices.
- To send you local notifications and alarms that you configure within the App.
- To show ads, which help keep the App free, and to measure how they perform.
- To unlock Premium features you have bought, and restore them on a new device.
- To respond to your questions, comments, and requests for customer support.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: By default, your data is stored locally on your device.
- Cloud Storage: If you use the Family Sync feature, your data is securely transmitted to and stored on Google Firebase servers. Firebase provides robust security measures, including data encryption in transit and at rest.
- Data Retention: We retain your cloud information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services.
4. Advertising
The App shows ads served by Google AdMob. Google may use the advertising data described in Section 1 to show ads, including personalised ads where you allow them, to limit how often you see an ad, to measure ad performance, and to prevent fraud. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- Your baby's data is never used for ads: Your baby's profile and the activities you log are never shared with Google AdMob or any advertiser, and ads are not based on them.
- Consent: In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App asks for your consent with Google's consent form before showing personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time in the App under Settings → Ad Privacy Choices.
- Advertising ID: You can reset or delete your device's advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device). Without it, you will see ads that are not personalised.
5. In-App Purchases
Premium is a one-time purchase made through Google Play and is subject to the Google Payments Privacy Notice. Google processes your payment; we only receive confirmation that Premium was bought so the App can unlock it.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is designed to be used by parents and guardians to track their baby's activities. The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.
While the App processes data about children (provided by parents), we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information directly from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data without your consent, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions to remove that information from our servers.
Ads in the App are shown to the parent or caregiver using it and are not directed at children.
7. Your Data Rights and Controls
You have control over your data:
- Opt-out of Cloud Sync: You can choose to use the App completely offline without creating an account or syncing data to the cloud.
- Local Data Deletion: You can delete all your locally stored data at any time by clearing the App's data from your device settings or uninstalling the App.
- Ad Choices: Where the App asks for ad consent, you can change it in Settings → Ad Privacy Choices. Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
- Data Export: The App provides functionality to export your data locally to a JSON file. This backup file is stored on your device and its security is solely managed by you.
- Cloud Data & Account Deletion: If you use the Family Sync feature, you can sign out, leave a family group, or delete your account from Settings in the App. Account deletion removes your sign-in account and cloud sync access. If you are the last member of a family group, the shared cloud family data is also deleted. If other family members remain, shared family data may remain available to them, while activity records created by your account are removed where technically associated with your account. You may also contact us at contact@pihulabs.com if you need help with deletion.
8. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party service providers and features to help us operate the App:
- Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Analytics & Crashlytics (Google): Used for secure user sign-in, real-time database syncing for the Family Sync feature, anonymous app usage analytics, and automatic crash reporting to help us identify and fix bugs.
- Google AdMob: Shows ads in the App, as described in Section 4.
- Google Play Billing: Processes Premium purchases, as described in Section 5.
- Apple Sign-In & Google Sign-In: Provided as identity providers to authenticate users who opt into Family Sync.
- Google Fonts: The App may fetch typography assets from Google Fonts to display text properly.
- Local Notifications & Alarms: Used to trigger device-level alerts without transmitting your activity data to external servers.
- File Picker: Used on your device to select JSON backup files for import.
- SharePlus: Used on your device to share or save exported JSON backup files and family invite codes.
Apart from Google AdMob, which may also use advertising data as described in Section 4, these third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. Google Privacy Policy | Apple Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
